Meet the Podcasters

Brian is a musician, college professor, and all-around nerdy guy who, as of this printing, is the only one who has actually seen Picard. His explanatory insights, aided by his combined love of Star Trek and fermented grape drink, are the major driving force behind the show and, in fact, its reason for being. His favorite drink, as mentioned before, is the vino, but specifically <INSERT FAVORITE WINE HERE> which he consumes, not only for pleasure, but as a mental buffer between his own mind, and the horrors of bad storytelling.

Dustin can remember watching some form of Star Trek since he was old enough to hold a t.v. remote. Dustin, a Michigan native, lives with his wife, kids, and cat. Crysta is the cohost of the bizarre film podcast Cinema Guano with her husband Greg Pizzino as well as the Haunted Mitten podcast with fellow author and paranormal investigator K. Gray. Dapper Stormtrooper is an amateur voice actor, nerd, and movie enthusiast. While he is not a Star Trek buff (at least not in comparison to his co-conspirators) he did enjoy approximately 7.84 out of 9 of the major Star Wars movies and brings his love of monomyth, archetypes, and a kindergartner's understanding of story structure, to the digital round table that is Back Up a Second. His beverage of choice during recording is scotch-whisky, which he will substitute for good scotch in heartbeat when the opportunity, and the funds, present themselves.
